- Our approach
At Digital Power, we are aware of the opportunities that data offers us and we do not shy away from our societal responsibility. That's why we established a foundation in 2021 called the Digital Power Datahub. With our foundation, we contribute to a data-savvy world where data knowledge is accessible to everyone. What does that look like in practice?
Our activities can be divided into two pillars: data literacy and data for good.
Data Literacy
A data-literate person knows what data is, its advantages and disadvantages, and how to gain more control over their own data based on their own norms and values. In our digital society, data literacy is becoming increasingly important, not only for businesses but for everyone. Therefore, our data specialists provide information and education on data literacy to various target groups, ranging from elementary school children to seniors and social organizations.
For example, in collaboration with SeniorWeb and the Foundation "Oud Geleerd Jong Gedaan," we have given data lectures to seniors. We regularly visit schools and universities to make children and young people more data-savvy. We have also organized workshops for members of charitable platforms such as TechSoup, Partos, and Goede Doelen Nederland, teaching them how to work with data more effectively as a social organization.

Data for Good
While large and/or commercial organizations often have the resources to invest in a data-driven way of working, it is often a utopia for smaller non-profit organizations. However, these organizations often express a desire to do more with their data. Therefore, we offer the data services provided by our company to our customers in a non-profit capacity through our foundation, either free of charge or at a low rate, for projects with a social purpose. This ensures that our data knowledge and expertise are accessible to initiatives that contribute to the development of society.
For example, we assisted Stichting Donateursbelangen in setting up a fully automated data import pipeline. We collaborated on a target audience research project for Doctors of the World and supported various social organizations, such as Designathon Works, in measuring their impact.

Let’s collaborate!
The Datahub strives to make data knowledge accessible to society. We do so by making people of all ages (from 9 to 86 years old) and societal organisations data aware through education and project support. We wouldn't be a 'hub' if we didn't do this in collaboration with partners.
Would you or your organisation like to help us make individuals and organisations data aware? Do you have any questions or ideas? We would love to hear from you!
