About working at Digital Power
Whether you are applying for a staff position or a consultancy role: you are surely curious about the answers to these questions!
We moved to a beautiful Amsterdam office in late 2019 and opened a second location in Den Bosch in 2020.
Thanks to the sit-stand desks, table football table, delicious coffee, bar, canteens with good food and cosy corners, they are super nice places to work.
People work in the office every day. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, there are generally about 20 or so; on Wednesdays and Fridays, the whole office is full of consultants working remotely for their clients.*
We are all fanatical table footballers and regularly go out on our own initiative after working hours to go climbing, padel, cycling, eating or gaming together.
Of course we all work hard, but we firmly believe that there should also be time for relaxation. A cup of coffee with a colleague you haven't had a chance to meet for a while, a game of table football or hanging out at the Friday aftaernoon drinks is just as important as the content of your work!
We fully understand that multiple employers are promising you a dream job. This is why we list just a bit more on what makes Digital Power unique.
- Best of both worlds - a down-to-earth group with the most challenging assignments
- Room for initiative: you shape your own career
- Cool clients in various sectors (both profit and non-profit)

- Lots of table football games
- A great work-life balance
- Friday afternoon gathering for which many come to the office especially
- 2x a year a team event with the whole team (and monthly events like foodie- and game nights)
Are you thinking: this might be where I will feel at home? Check out our vacancies and apply now!
You have a training budget with us. This means that, in consultation, you can take courses and training programmes if they are relevant to your (future) role.
If you want to pursue a Bachelor's or Master's degree, we will look together at how you can combine this with your work. For each individual, we look at what conditions we then apply.
Some of us annually participate in events such as MeasureCamp, Data + AI Summit, Conversion Hotel and dbt Summit. You can attend this event as a visitor, but if you would like to speak on our behalf at such an event, there are also opportunities.
Yes! Please do! At Digital Power, you will not only learn a lot, but we also expect you to share your knowledge and experiences within (and sometimes outside) the organisation!
You can share your knowledge in many ways, so please do choose the one that suits you. Present your new skills to the team, provide training to colleagues or a client team, climb on stage at an event like the Big Data Expo, host a meet-up, coach your colleagues one-on-one or share your knowledge by writing articles and ebooks.
Do you have a better idea? You can count on us to facilitate you in the best possible way.
At Digital Power, development is paramount. We encourage this by providing an unlimited development budget and focus on knowledge sharing.
One thing we truly excel in is our personal support on your development path. You probably have a good idea of where you want to go. The two supervisors you choose will help you identify specific goals and actions. We call this "The Golden Triangle".
As long as you keep developing, you will also keep growing in our organisation. Your pay raise is linked with your drive to progress. As long as that happens, your growth is guaranteed!
At Digital Power, we’re aware of the many opportunities data has to offer. We enjoy working together with a variety of clients to help them transition from data to action. But our ambition doesn’t end there. As the data partner, we want to make our data knowledge and skills accessible to everyone – including society and civil society organisations. That’s why, in 2021, we founded the Digital Power Datahub foundation.
Working from your parents' holiday home for a couple of weeks a year or staying at your holiday address for an extra week to work: it's possible.
You can work abroad for a maximum of one month (31 days) and a maximum of one period per year.
We organise weekly Friday afternoon drinks, an occasional themed drink, and, at least twice a year, a team event.
In addition, we work a lot in teams on client assignments and there are weekly meet-ups where knowledge and experiences can be shared.
Whether you are a consultant or a staff member: transport should never be an issue. What is your choice?
- An NS Business card that allows you unlimited free travel throughout the country by train, even for leisure.
- Own transport and a kilometre allowance of €0.21 per km, even if you cycle.
- A pool car, lease car or temporary rental car (we will be happy to provide you with more information on the conditions)
We are committed to being a diverse and inclusive organisation. This helps make us stronger as a company and as employees as it provides us with a wide range of perspectives that contribute to better solutions and decisions. It also ensures a good atmosphere and a safe working environment.
We appreciate you for who you are, so be your genuine self!
For us, diversity means awareness of differences in (in)visible characteristics of individuals within Digital Power. We accept and respect that these differences exist, everyone is unique and entitled to be there.
For us, inclusiveness means the inclusion of all colleagues, where differences in (in)visible characteristics of individuals do not play a role. This involves equality, where everyone has access to the same opportunities and resources.
Just apply! Then we will discuss the possibilities together during the application. Just like data, we think in solutions together!
The largest group of colleagues are consultants. They are supported by our staff. Staff teams include Sales, Marketing, Recruitment, Finance, HR, and Business Support.
The consultants are divided into teams, based on their expertise. These teams are led by Team Leads. They are the main contact point for consultants.
We have a management team consisting of five people. When it comes to themes like employment conditions, they work closely together with our works council.
We don't really have a dress code, so come as you are. If you go to a meeting with clients or other external people, you may consider to dress a bit more formal than wearing a t-shirt and jeans.
In the summer, better not wear flipflops at the office. A pair of shorts, combined with a nice blouse, is fine.
About working as a consultant
Are you a specialist in Data Analytics, Technical Web Analytics, Customer Experience, Data Science or Data Engineering? When you become part of our team, we refer to you as a 'Consultant'.
As a consultant in our team, you must be able to collect, analyse and visualise large amounts of data. You then translate the insights you get from the data into concrete actions for various stakeholders.
Therefore, you must be able to relate well to your client's organisation: a Manager wants to see different information than a Data Analyst or Developer. As a consultant, it is therefore important that you speak different 'languages'.
During your assignment, you will constantly delve deeper into the organisation, actively ask questions and listen carefully to the client. This is how you find out what the real issue is and who you can work with to get the most out of your assignment.
We believe the best way to get to know an organisation is by meeting people in person. That’s why your onboarding will take place primarily at the office.
During your first few months, you will:
- Be assigned a buddy
- Get to know your colleagues
- Become familiar with our culture
- Meet with colleagues who can support you in achieving your development goals
- Learn about our clients and the way we work
This helps you settle in quickly and feel at home at Digital Power from the start.
No two weeks are the same. What your working week looks like depends on your assignment, your area of expertise, and the client you’re working for.
As a consultant, you’ll usually split your time between the client’s office, working from home, and one of our offices in Den Bosch or Amsterdam. As a guideline, we aim for two days per week at the client’s site and one day in the office, although this varies from assignment to assignment.
On Fridays, many colleagues come together to share knowledge, develop their skills and collaborate. This includes internal meetups, training sessions, Learning at Location Day and, of course, our Friday afternoon drinks.
One thing that almost every working week has in common? You’ll be tackling challenging data and AI projects, and you’ll never have to do it alone. There’s always a colleague ready to think things through with you.
Thinking, “Sounds good, but I’d rather hear it first-hand from one of your consultants”? Feel free to drop by on a Friday.
Email jobs@digital-power.com to sign up for our Friday afternoon drinks and get to know us.
Our Business Managers make sure new orders come in. Therefore, you don't have to worry about this. We do our best to match your ambitions with an assignment as much as possible.
Do you see an open vacancy? Propose it and we'll try to make it happen! When your input to this lead eventually leads to a partnership, the team bonus pot will be topped up. Every quarter we do something fun from this together.
That depends on the client, your area of expertise and the stage of the project.
As a data and AI consultant, you could work on:
- Developing dashboards and reports
- Building a data platform
- Implementing web and app measurement solutions
- Deploying an AI solution
- Shaping an organisation’s data strategy
Some colleagues work full-time for a single client, while others divide their time across multiple projects.
What all assignments have in common is that you’ll be working on challenges that create real impact for organisations.
The duration of an assignment depends on the customer's demand. In practice, you see that most consultants spend between 6 and 18 months on an assignment. Sometimes you work on a project lasting a few weeks or months.
Are you ready for a new challenge? Please indicate this to us yourself so we can start looking for a new assignment for you that suits your needs. After a good handover of your work with your current client, you will start working on a new challenge. In the period between assignments, you attend training courses, learn new tools, actively engage in the organisation of in-house meet-ups, share knowledge with colleagues and provide input for articles and customer cases.
If you do not have an assignment for a short time or if you have hours to spare in addition to your assignment, you attend training courses, learn new tools, actively engage in the organisation of in-house meet-ups, share knowledge with colleagues and provide input for articles and customer cases. And yes, of course we will continue to pay you!
Did you start your assignment with enthusiasm but it turned out not to suit you after all? Your Business Manager will then discuss this with you (and possibly your client) to see what the reason for this might be. You may be able to try things yourself to make your assignment more challenging or concrete. We're happy to help you with this!
If there is no match with the culture within the client's organisation and you as a person? And are you really reluctant to even go to your assignment? If so, we will do our best, in consultation with your client, to arrange for a colleague to take over your assignment.
You never actually work alone; in fact, you will join the client's team. Depending on your role, you might work in the Marketing team, the Analytics team, the Product Development team or the IT department, for example.
It may happen that within the client team you are the only one with your specific expertise. In some cases, you will work together with a Digital Power colleague at a customer site. In most cases, you pick up an assignment on your own. Are you not able to figure something out? Then there are always 120 colleagues ready to help you with your problem!
Do you face a complex challenge, get stuck or your client asks a question you don't know the answer to right away? You can always count on more than 120 colleagues!
Despite our hybrid forms of work, you stay connected to Digital Power. So you simply ask questions to the whole team via Teams or call/apply/email a specific colleague.
Can your question wait? On Fridays, many colleagues are in the office and there is always someone willing to sit down with you to share knowledge and help you with your problem.
Development is one of the most important aspects of working at Digital Power.
From your very first day, you’ll be paired with a buddy who will help you get to know the organisation, your colleagues and the way we work.
You’ll also work with colleagues to create a personal development plan. Throughout this process, you’ll be supported by our Golden Triangle: a group of experienced colleagues who guide you in both your professional and personal development.
You’ll have access to:
- Internal training programmes
- External courses and education
- Knowledge-sharing sessions
- Coaching
- Certifications
- Soft skills training
- Technical skills training
Whether you want to grow as a consultant or deepen your expertise as a specialist, we’ll work together to identify what you need to achieve your goals.

As part of our team, your personal development will proceed in several stages:
1. Starter: your first months as a data professional
2. Junior: working in our team for up to 1.5 years
3. Medior: after approximately 3 years
4. Senior: after approximately 4 years
After five years, you choose which path you want to take. Do you want to become:
5. specialist/expert in your field...
6. ...or a wide-ranging generalist?
Yes. At Digital Power, we believe in freedom with responsibility. That’s why you’ll have plenty of flexibility to organise your work in a way that suits you.
You can expect, among other things:
- Flexible working hours between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm
- Hybrid working
- A working-from-home allowance
- The opportunity to work from abroad for a period each year
- The flexibility to make arrangements that fit your assignment and personal situation
At the same time, we believe you make the greatest impact when you’re visible and connected to both clients and colleagues. That’s why you’ll regularly work on-site with clients and from one of our offices.
At Digital Power, Fridays are all about learning, development and knowledge sharing. We organise internal meetups for each specialisation, and we round off the week by catching up with colleagues over Friday afternoon drinks.
A challenging assignment at a cool organisation sometimes requires you to get out of bed early: that's the life of a consultant! Sometimes you are lucky and you only have to cycle 15 minutes.
In exceptional cases, it may happen that you have to travel longer than an hour by public transport. Of course, this is only done in consultation and we are happy to think along with you about the ideal work-life balance. You have the freedom to work partly from home anyway!
Most of our clients have a location in the Randstad, but we operate throughout the country. Are you the perfect candidate for an assignment in Eindhoven or Zwolle? If so, we will definitely introduce you! Any start is of course always done in consultation with you.
Consulting is known for its challenging assignments, but what if a big (and wonderful) challenge is suddenly added at home? How do you combine a busy job as a consultant with the arrival of a child? At Digital Power, everything is about data, but we understand that the world of young parents revolves around something else for a while. Consultancy.nl talked about it with two Digital Power consultants who recently welcomed a little one.
We are not tied to specific tools and adapt our approach based on client needs.
